THE STORY BEHIND MAGIC MINERAL
In 1921 a cholera epidemic swept through the Southern United States killing the hogs. There was one small area where the hogs survived with vibrant health while every pig for miles around died of the disease. When the farmer investigated why the hogs survived, he remembered that they had escaped and crossed the river. They had been foraging in this particular clay mineral deposit. Word quickly spread and this clay material was used in livestock and farming throughout the East Coast for a couple of decades. As chemical fertilizers became popular, this mineral was forgotten. Now we are fully aware that the major cause of poor health in plants and animals is due to the depletion of our soil's minerals.
